Overview
Reporting to Head of Sales, the Sales Data Analyst is a mid-level sales and relationship advisor responsible for driving commercial success through SEUS. This role will involve a deep understanding of internal and external data and information with a desired outcome of clear and actionable insights. Formulating and tracking market information and tracking performance within the business.
In this role, you will be involved with the following:
Analyze Sales Performance
Understand current data by product, region, CPMs, and Brokers.
Formulize a daily, weekly, and monthly reporting pack to share across sales leadership and company management.
Deep understanding of all systems and origination of data, to establish controls and verification.
Establish Structure and Control around reporting
Sales & Opportunity Management
Lead or support the origination and negotiation of complex deals involving structured pricing, non-standard terms, or multi-site accounts.
Serve as a liaison between brokers and internal teams (pricing, SS, operations) to resolve issues, accelerate close timelines, and maintain broker satisfaction.
Provide market insights and partner feedback to support product innovation and competitive positioning.
Highlight areas of focus through win and loss rates.
KPI Tracking
Build and maintain dashboards for tracking KPIs.
Geographic segmentation and performance at an ISO, State, and Utility level.
Product conversion rates.
Delivery weekly and monthly updates of performance to Sales Leadership Teams.
Broker Sales Metrics
Understanding what channels sales are being derived from, highlighting areas of improvements that can be extrapolated on.
Ensuring broker payments and compensation plans are aligned with company objectives
Monitoring that we are maximizing each channel relationship in line with wallet share of each broker
Forecasting and Pipeline Management
Support sales forecasting with data driven information.
Identify gaps in targets and actions to fill such gaps.
Data Management & Tools
Develop a standard set of data from Salesforce, Billing platforms and other data sets for the use of AI to analyze data.
To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:
2-5 years in sales data analytics, preferably in retail energy sales
Proficient in:
Excel
SQL
BI Tools (Power BI)
AI implementation a plus
Understanding of deregulated energy markets
Translating large data sets into actionable business insights.
Ability to connect data to sales strategy
Strategic and analytical thinker with a bias for action
Customer- and partner-centric mindset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Highly collaborative, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
