Overview
As the Senior Wholesale Energy Trading Project Manager, you will lead and oversee complex IT projects within the energy sector. Your role will involve strategic planning, execution, and delivery of projects that support the company's energy initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
In this role, you will be involved with the following:
Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external vendors, to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of financial resources.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular status updates to senior management
To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT project management
Industry Knowledge: In depth knowledge of the Retail and Wholesale Power Energy sector, including renewables within ERCOT, PJM, NYISO and ISONE markets.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure and software development processes.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
