Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Project Manager to lead the implementation and expansion of our channel partner sales strategy within the ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) market. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in retail energy sales, project management, and partner enablement.
In this role, you will be involved with the following:
Channel Strategy Development:
- Design and execute a scalable channel partner program tailored to the ERCOT market.
- Identify, onboard, and cultivate relationships with brokers, aggregators, and third-party sales organizations.
- Develop sales enablement tools, training, and incentive programs to drive partner performance.
- Partner with Marketing to design and execute an effective marketing and sales strategy to achieve objectives through building brand visibility and cultivating relationships
Project Management:
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to support partner onboarding, contract execution, and go-to-market activities.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and KPIs for all channel-related projects.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, operations, and IT to ensure seamless partner integration.
Market Intelligence & Growth:
- Monitor ERCOT regulatory changes, competitive landscape, and pricing trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize pricing strategies and product offerings.
- Track and report on partner performance, sales pipeline, and revenue growth.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external partners.
- Facilitate regular business reviews and performance updates with key stakeholders.
- Advocate for partner needs while aligning with company goals and compliance standards.
To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail energy sales, with a focus on ERCOT or deregulated markets.
- Proven success in building and managing channel partner programs.
- Strong project management skills (PMP certification a plus).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with ERCOT settlement processes, load forecasting, and pricing models.
- Experience working with retail electric providers (REPs) or energy brokers.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in Texas energy markets.
