Overview
Seeking a Temporary employee for a (6) month, full-time assignment as an IT Retail Energy Project Manager. In this role you will lead and oversee a complex IT project related to customer experience improvements supporting the Retail Power energy sector. Your role will involve strategic planning, execution, and delivery of the high-profile project to support one of the company's top priorities You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
In this role, you will be involved with the following:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external vendors, to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of financial resources.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
- Documentation and Reporting: Ensure detailed project tracking and senior presentation decks built to provide and deliver status updates to senior management.
To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software development, primarily in the project management and business analyst space with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver on time, on budget project deliveries.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of system design, cloud computing, security principles, and modern development frameworks.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems.
- Agile and DevOps: Familiarity with Agile, DevOps and waterfall project approaches.
- Collaborative: Personable, team-oriented, respectful, and empathetic individual who is comfortable working with both on-site and remote team members.
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to analyze complex problems, break them down into manageable components, and derive meaningful insights to support decision-making processes.
- Strategic Mindset: A forward-thinking approach to aligning business objectives with technology solutions, anticipating future challenges, and identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas, requirements, and recommendations clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders across functional and technical departments.
- Time Management: Ability to handle conflicting demands, prioritize workload, and effectively delegate while maintaining high-quality standards.
