Group Technical Accountant
Are you ready to step into a high-impact, standalone role at the heart of a global finance transformation? We are seeking a Group Technical Accountant to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.
As we evolve our Finance function you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our technical accounting landscape. This role offers a rare opportunity to partner with senior Finance leadership across the UK, US, and Australia, providing specialist expertise in fair value accounting under IFRS 9 and supporting the implementation of new IFRS standards and Companies House regulations. What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
- Qualified ACA (or equivalent) from Big 4 audit/advisory practice with substantial PQE;
- Prior experience in the energy and utilities sector or in a trading environment;
- Comprehensive expertise in applying IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 9 and IFRS 13;
- Proven ability to tackle and resolve complex accounting issues outside of an audit context;
- Direct experience in either auditing or preparing annual year-end financial reports.
