Settlements Team Leader FTC

As a leader of our Settlement Executives, you will oversee the seamless execution of our end-to-end Settlement processes. You’ll play a key role in implementing best practices to enhance the customer experience while maintaining rigorous standards of accuracy, control, and completeness across all touchpoints. Your efforts will ensure that we not only meet but exceed industry standards.
Please note this is Fixed Term Contract until 28/11/2025
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
- Experience of leading a team to delivery against targets;
- Experience of delivering High Levels of Customer Service;
- Knowledge of the UK Energy Industry;
- Knowledge of Metering & Settlement.
How will I spend my time in this role?
- Lead a team and manage their performance to deliver against targets;
- Take the lead and ownership in driving SmartestEnergy’s settlement performance to maintain the 99% industry standard across all measurements for Retail and Smart Generation;
- Work closely with the MHHS Programme team to ensure proposed end-to-end solutions meet the business needs;
- Lead the team to resolve faulty meters which impact our Settlement;
- Use best endeavors to ensure all Settlement work is completed in a timely manner to support other team's targets;
- Be the focal point and lead liaison with Elexon for all Settlement related matters;
- Lead the team of Settlement Executives to work and complete all Settlement related Dataflows;
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Analyst(s) to support with reporting and analysis;
- With the Metering Team Leader, take co-ownership of meetings with SmartestEnergy’s Third Party Agents and support the Contract Manager with tracking performance and SLA;
- Own the escalation process;
- Support the T&D team and others to make efficiency improvements to all new and existing settlement processes;
- Provide best practice expertise to the fault resolution process whilst maintaining focus on the customer experience.

What does hybrid working mean to us?
Hybrid working typically means 2 days in the office location listed on this advert and 3 days working at home each week. Some occasional travel to our other offices may be required.
