Lead Trade Control Analyst
The Lead Trade Control Analyst leads the Trade Control team in its daily activities and provides leadership and experience in delivering strategic projects
The role?
- Lead in the development of industry standard KPIs, to Identify, assess and monitor key risks in trade accuracy
- Promote and lead continuous improvement within the team
- Ensuring all processes are constantly critically reviewed for enhancements and controls.
- Liaising and interacting with Front Office, Operations and IT teams to investigate and resolve exceptions
- Act as first point of contact for Business Assurance Events and coordinate any future actions for Trade Control
- Knowledge of MiFID, EMIR, REMIT, MAR
- Review and act as signatory to UK Energy confirmation and Renewable Certificate Confirmations/Agreements
- Build and develop strong relationship with stakeholders across business, compliance, contracts, settlements, risk, legal and IT
- Lead the Trade Control team in its daily activities by supervising the daily tasks and validation processes.
- Perform ad hoc monitoring of Market Abuse Surveillance alerts and Review the daily open alerts for appropriate escalation
- Lead and support the Head of Trade Control in delivering the Trade Control Improvements programme
- Lead in the delivery of strategic projects ensuring the team has the tools to perform BAU activities
- Support the Trade Control team in its daily activities
- Act as first point of contact for escalation of daily activities and coordinates resolution
- Coordinates and delivers documentation for audit requests and assists in the delivery of audit items
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
- Experience in a middle office/control role in a trading environment
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes including: booking, amendment, contracts, and settlements.
- Understanding of market abuse
- Knowledge and interest of GB Power trading (products, market, etc.)
- Strong and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including excellent Excel
- Knowledge of MiFID, EMIR, REMIT, MAR (desirable)
