Debt Management Coordinator
You will be responsible for supporting the newly formed Commercial Development team within SmartestEnergy Business Ltd (SEBL). In this role you will deliver a high-quality end-to-end debt management experience to targeted customers and TPIs, from account set up through to invoice disputes and remittance, ensuring all bespoke terms and subsequent debt processes are adhered to and data is accurate.
You will provide an efficient and high-quality service, following all enquiries to completion across the Credit Control and Debt Management end to end journey.
Please note this is a hybrid role working in our Worthing office and at home each week
In this role, you will be involved with the following:
- Support the Commercial Development Business Development Manager(s) and Account Manager(s) throughout the Debt Management journey;
- Payment Reconciliation – Using PAM ensure that bulk payments are allocated to invoice across relevant accounts;
- Analyse debt data sets and spreadsheets with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail, rectifying any potential issues or liaising with the relevant customer / TPI;
- Execution of all debt related disputes, ensuring all queries are thoroughly reviewed and escalated if required to Commercial Development Team and that information and data is accurately captured and recorded to avoid errors;
- Deal with customer enquiries and support Commercial Development Team, providing any data or bespoke reporting for customers or TPIs;
- Creating and building excellent relationships with TPIs and customers;
- Demonstrate excellent team working, by supporting colleagues during busy periods and being able to re-prioritise own workloads where possible to enable deadlines to be met across the wider Debt Teams;
- Managing end to end direct debit process where applicable;
- Requesting Disconnection and Reconnection where applicable;
- Monitoring and decision making on older debt;
- Managing Agreements to Pay while ensuring that all monies are collected and a smart meter installed with customer on pre-pay;
- Managing in-house CRM Queues;
- Ensure all operational processes are adhered to and ‘How To Guides’ are created and followed to avoid errors;
- Identify process improvements and raise suggestions for better ways of working within the Debt Team and Commercial Development Team;
- Any other reasonable activity as required by Management to support Smart Energy’s goals and objectives.
To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:
- Demonstrable experience within a B2B collections department environment;
- Proven collection skills and experience;
- Experience of managing third party suppliers/customers;
- Intermediate IT skills in MS Office.
